A Typical day For Learners at Peaceful Paddocks

Days at Peaceful Paddocks will vary due to the seasons and activities that can be done.

Spring will involve lots of planting, Autumn harvesting what we have grown.

Every day is a new start with lots of exciting activities to be done- Through your individual timetable you will be able to choose activities like cooking, woodwork, crafting and horticulture.

There will also be jobs that have to be done daily like mucking out the animals, maintaining the paddocks, feeding and grooming.

Every activity is an opportunity to learn and develop essential life skills and transferable skills for adult life.

However, every day will have a structure around the activities:

  • You will be met at 9.30am for a check in and breakfast will be available if you need .

  • Following this you will do activities around the farm.

  • Break will be at 11 am , followed by more fun activities!

  • Lunch will be at 12.30pm followed by more nature based activities

  • At 2.15 pm you will check in with a member of staff and review your day before going home.

You can take rest breaks whenever you need to and you will have an agreed safe space you can go to if you just need to relax in nature

As most of our learning is done outside you will need to bring the following the items:

Wellies and a waterproof coat

Don’t wear your best clothes- you will get mucky!

When it is cold you will need a hat and gloves: when it is hot bring a sunhat/ cap and sun cream.

Most of all enjoy and have fun!
